The International Cooperation Group of Brazilian Universities (GCUB) has been running this scholarship program since 2008. It’s basically a network of 101 Brazilian universities plus 7 international institutions working together to bring bright minds from around the world to study in Brazil.

Duration of Support
- Master’s programs: Up to 24 months of funding
- PhD programs: Up to 48 months of funding

2025/2026 GCUB Brazil International Mobility Scholarship Eligibility Requirement
- You must be a citizen of any country that has diplomatic relations with Brazil
- You cannot have Brazilian nationality
- You need to be in good physical and mental health
- You must be able to cover expenses not included in the scholarship (like flight tickets, visa fees, and health insurance)
- For Master’s applicants: You need your undergraduate degree
- For PhD applicants: You need both undergraduate and Master’s degrees (some programs might accept just an undergraduate – check the specific program requirements)
