DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program 2026 Details
The Development Bank of Nigeria (DBN) is a development finance institution established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in partnership with global development partners to alleviate financing constraints facing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by providing access to finance, partial credit guarantees, technical assistance, and capacity building through intermediaries.
DBN does not lend directly to businesses in cash; instead, it provides funds and risk‑sharing support to participating financial institutions (PFIs) such as commercial banks and microfinance banks, which, in turn, on‑lend to MSMEs.
The DBN Entrepreneurship Training Program is a capacity‑building initiative that equips entrepreneurs with business skills and improves their readiness to access financing and grow their ventures. The program combines:
- Online Learning: Participants complete four mandatory courses through the DBN BizAid LMS.
- In-Person Workshops: Shortlisted applicants are invited to workshops in major cities, such as Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt, where they refine business plans and engage with mentors.
- Grant Competitions: High-performing participants are eligible to compete for grants.
