Every year, at least six students are selected through a five-stage process that includes essays, aptitude tests, research projects, and a final interview.

The award of ₦1,000,000 is disbursed in parts and used strictly for education-related costs such as tuition, books, transportation, and feeding. The money is mostly paid directly to the school or used based on verified academic expenses.
