European Commission Intra-Africa Scholarships 2026 Details
The Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme supports academic mobility within Africa. It is designed to improve higher education quality and strengthen cooperation between African universities.
The programme provides opportunities at Master’s and Doctoral levels. Mobility can be short-term or for the full duration of an academic programme.
It also offers traineeship mobility. Trainees complete placement periods in private or public organisations in a country different from their nationality and residence.
In addition, academic, administrative, and technical staff from participating higher education institutions can benefit from staff mobility. Activities may include teaching, research, training delivery, curriculum development, administrative tasks, and technical support.
The mobility opportunities are organised through selected Intra-Africa consortia. Each consortium offers programmes in different disciplines. Priority areas include agriculture, engineering, information and communication technologies, environment, and climate change.
