KAUST 2025 Visiting Student Research Internship Details
The KAUST 2025 Visiting Student Research Internship is a fully funded 3 to 6-month research opportunity for passionate undergraduates in their 3rd or 4th year and master’s students in STEM fields from around the world. The program is designed to help students explore research topics that align with their interests in science, technology, mathematics and engineering.
Hosted by the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, this internship equips students with valuable skills to excel in both academia and industry. One of its unique features is the flexible start and end dates, as applications are accepted throughout the year. Other benefits include a $1,000 monthly stipend for living expenses, round-trip airfare, accommodation, and tuition fees.
Selected interns will collaborate directly with leading researchers, engage in over 100 active projects across 17 STEM degree programs, connect with a diverse community of peers, and experience a rich multicultural environment.

KAUST 2025 Visiting Student Research Internship Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the KAUST Internship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current undergraduate or master’s student in a STEM-related field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
- Have completed at least 3 years of undergraduate study or be in a relevant graduate program.
- Have a GPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (or equivalent) in your current studies.
- Be proficient in the English Language. (Official exam scores may be required.)
- Be committed to full-time research and able to reside at KAUST for the entire internship duration (3 to 6 months).
Note:
Current PhD students, KAUST students or alumni are not eligible to apply for this internship.
