The scholarship covers two categories: secondary school students and undergraduate students. It supports Senior Secondary School 1 to 3 students and undergraduates for the duration of their course, provided they attend government-owned or accredited private institutions in Nigeria.

Eligibility Requirements for the MRS Oil Nigeria Plc Scholarship 2026

Secondary School Applicants

• Must have completed the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE)
• Must have at least five (5) distinctions (A) in relevant subjects at one sitting
• Must have at least a credit in Mathematics and English Language
• JSCE results must be available during the application period
• Must not be more than 18 years old at the time of application
• Must be a Nigerian
• Must be a child of a confirmed employee of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc
• Must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship

Undergraduate Applicants

• Must have completed SSCE, NECO, or GCE
• Must have at least five (5) distinctions (A) in relevant subjects at one sitting
• Must have at least a credit in Mathematics and English Language
• Must have been offered admission into an approved Nigerian tertiary institution
• Institution must be a University, Polytechnic, or Mono-technic
• Must not be more than 25 years old during the application period
• Must be a Nigerian
• Must be a child of an employee of MRS Oil Nigeria Plc
• Must not be a beneficiary of another scholarship
