Eligibility Requirements for the 2026 University of Alberta Graduate Entrance Scholarship
To be eligible for the Graduate Entrance Scholarship at the University of Alberta, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a newly admitted student in a master’s or doctoral program for the specified terms.
- Open to both domestic and international students.
- Open to students enrolled in either course-based or thesis-based programs.
- Have an Admission GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- Must be registered as a full-time student throughout the duration of the award.
- The award is valid from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2027, regardless of the student’s admission term.
- Students are not allowed to transfer or switch between thesis-based and course-based programs.
- The Graduate Entrance Scholarship is non-renewable.
