ARES International Training Scholarships 2026-2027 Details
The ARES (Académie de Recherche et d’Enseignement Supérieur) scholarship is designed to help professionals from developing countries strengthen their skills through higher education in Belgium.

Eligibility Requirements for the ARES International Training Scholarships 2026-2027
To apply for the ARES International Training Scholarships, you must:
- Nationality & Residence
- Be a permanent resident and working in one of the 31 eligible countries.
- Palestinian nationals can apply even if they do not live in one of these countries.
- Academic Background
- For Specialised Master’s & Continuing Training: Have a degree equivalent to a Belgian 2nd cycle diploma (300 ECTS).
- For Specialised Bachelor’s: Have a degree equivalent to a Belgian 1st cycle diploma (180 ECTS).
- Professional Experience
- Have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in an ARES partner country.
- Eligible Countries
- Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, DR Congo, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zimbabwe.
