Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership 2026 Details
The Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership supports senior public health professionals in Africa to acquire advanced leadership and management skills. The goal is to strengthen public health systems and improve health outcomes across African countries.
Since its launch, the fellowship has graduated 84 fellows from over 34 African countries. Alumni have gone on to lead major public health initiatives, author books, build cross-border partnerships, and serve in senior government roles.
The fellowship combines digital learning with residential placements. Fellows participate in leadership development activities and contribute to public health initiatives aligned with Africa’s priorities.

Eligibility Requirement for the Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership 2026
- Be a citizen of an African Union Member State.
- Hold a postgraduate degree in a public health-related field.
- Have at least 10 years of professional experience after obtaining a Master’s degree.
- Be in full-time employment in a public or private health institution in Africa.
- Demonstrate leadership capacity or strong potential for public health leadership.
