Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) 2026 Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be citizens of eligible recipient countries.
  • Applicants must intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in Malaysia.
  • Applicants currently studying in Malaysian universities may apply if they have at least two semesters remaining before completing their program.
  • Master’s applicants must be not more than 40 years old at the time of application.
  • PhD applicants must be not more than 45 years old at the time of application.
  • Master’s applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or Second Class Upper (Honours) at bachelor’s level.
  • PhD applicants must have excellent academic results with a CGPA of 3.00 at Master’s level in related fields.
  • Applicants must demonstrate good English language proficiency through IELTS, TOEFL, or proof that previous education was conducted in English.
  • Master’s by Research and PhD applicants must submit a research proposal of at least 1,000 words relevant to their field of study.
