Malaysian Government Scholarship 2025 Eligibility Requirements
Before applying, make sure you meet these basic requirements:
1. Age Limits
- Master’s applicants: Must be 40 years old or younger
- PhD applicants: Must be 45 years old or younger
2. Academic Qualifications
- For Master’s degree: You need a bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 3.00 or Second Class Upper Honours or better
- For a PhD degree: You need a master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.00 or excellent results in courses related to your intended PhD program
3. English Language Requirements
You must prove your English proficiency through one of these:
- IELTS: Band 6.0 or higher
- TOEFL: Score of 550 or higher (paper-based test)
- Previous education in English: If your previous degree was taught entirely in English
4. Research Proposal
- If you’re applying for a Master’s by Research or PhD, you must submit a research proposal of at least 1,000 words related to your intended field of study.
