MOPGA Visiting Fellowship 2026 Details
The MOPGA (Make Our Planet Great Again) Visiting Fellowship 2026 in France was created by the French government to support exceptional early-career researchers from around the world who are dedicated to tackling pressing environmental and sustainability challenges. Each year, the program selects 40 international fellows, offering them a fully funded 12-month research stay in France in partnership with leading laboratories and institutions.
During the fellowship, participants receive a monthly allowance of €2,500, a €500 installation grant, and full health coverage. Their projects must focus on one of five priority areas: Earth system sciences, climate change and sustainability, energy transition, societal challenges related to environmental issues, or the “One Health” approach, which links human, animal, and ecosystem health.
Fellows work closely with a French scientific advisor in their host laboratory, benefiting from world-class research environments and international collaboration. The program not only funds research but also strengthens global ties, ensuring that projects create impact both in France and in the fellows’ home countries.
At the end of the fellowship, participants join a growing global community of MOPGA alumni, creating long-term connections that foster scientific exchange, leadership development, and collaborative solutions for a more sustainable future.
