MTN ICT and Business Skills Training 2025 Details

MTN ICT & Business Skills Training is an annual youth empowerment initiative by the MTN Foundation designed to build the capacity of young Nigerian entrepreneurs. The program equips participants with essential ICT knowledge, entrepreneurial skills, and digital business tools to help them grow and sustain their micro-businesses. It combines self-paced online learning, instructor-led sessions, and expert masterclasses, ensuring participants gain both theoretical and practical insights.

There are three main focus areas of the MTN ICT & Business Skills Training:

ICT Skills Development:
Participants are introduced to relevant digital tools, platforms, and technologies to help them modernize their business operations and improve efficiency.

Entrepreneurship and Business Management:
Training modules cover business planning, financial management, customer engagement, and strategies for business growth and sustainability.

Digital Marketing and Masterclasses:
Special sessions led by industry experts focus on branding, digital visibility, e-commerce, and leveraging social media for business expansion.

The 2025 edition (Phase 7) will train 6,000 young entrepreneurs across selected states, with the top 600 performers receiving part of a ₦300 million equipment grant. Participants also receive data support during the program and a certificate of completion at the end of the training.

Eligibility Requirements for the MTN ICT and Business Skills Training 2025

To qualify for the MTN ICT & Business Skills Training 2025, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Age: Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
• Business Ownership: Must own and manage a micro-business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years.
• Location: The business must be based in one of the eligible states: Abuja (FCT), Bauchi, Bayelsa, Enugu, Ondo, Plateau, Sokoto, or Taraba.
• Commitment: Must be available to participate fully in the 5-week blended training program (online learning, instructor-led sessions, and masterclasses).
• Device & Internet Access: Must have access to a functional smartphone, tablet, or computer with internet connectivity (MTN provides some data support).
