This programme exists to support graduates as they navigate complex labour markets to access meaningful work and employment after they graduate. It serves as a bridge connecting fresh graduates to work opportunities that exist within public and private sector entities

Launched through a partnership between the Federal Government of Nigeria, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the European Union (EU), the NJFP provides a 12-month paid work placement for talented young graduates across the country.

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is a Federal Government youth employment initiative, funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). It seeks to address the unemployment challenge by connecting talented Nigerian graduates with job placement opportunities in Host Organizations across the country, offering experience, building skills, and preparing the workforce of the future.

The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) is uniquely positioned to:

  • Empower professional by aligning their skills with labour market needs through data-driven talent intelligence making them competitive for the Labor market.
  • Address structural barriers of Employers
  • Drive coordination mechanism of stakeholders towards a sustainable talent and youth employability ecosystem

Eligibility Requirements for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP)

To qualify for the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP), applicants must:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree or HND certificate from any discipline, graduated not earlier than 2017.
  • For Bachelor’s degree: at least a Second Class Lower (2.2). For HND: at least Upper Credit (>3.00).
  • Must be unemployed (not currently in any paid employment).
  • Must have completed the compulsory service of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) OR hold an NYSC exemption certificate.
  • Age limit: at most 30 years old
  • Good communication (written/verbal), time-management, professional attitude.
  • Demonstrate interest in chosen career field and Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
