Eligibility Requirements for the SBW Berlin Scholarship for International Students 2026

• Must be between 18 and 30 years old
• Must be a foreign national from a developing country
• Must hold a valid student visa or residence permit for study purposes
• Must not have lived in Germany for more than 18 months before applying
• Must have experience in the non-profit or social sector
• Must provide letters of recommendation from a social or non-profit organisation
• Must have a university entrance qualification
• Must have an average grade equivalent to at least 2.0 in the German grading system
• Must have relatively low net income
• Must not have first-degree family members permanently living in Germany
