Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2025/2026 Details
SINGA is a prestigious scholarship awarded to international students who aim to pursue a PhD or EngD in Singapore. It is jointly administered by:
- Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR)
- Nanyang Technological University (NTU)
- National University of Singapore (NUS)
- Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
- Singapore Management University (SMU)
- Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
Students can conduct research at A*STAR research institutes or any of the participating universities and will be awarded the degree by one of the following institutions: NTU, NUS, SUTD, SMU, or SIT.
Available degrees include:
- NUS, NTU: PhD
- SMU, SUTD: PhD or EngD
- SIT: EngD

Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2025/2026 Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Open to all international graduates with a strong academic background and passion for research
- Excellent academic results in undergraduate and/or masterβs studies
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Strong recommendation reports from academic referees
- SINGA is primarily for international students who have not studied previously in Singapore
- Singapore citizens, permanent residents, or international students who have studied in Singapore are not eligible
- Additional selection criteria may apply based on A*STAR policies

The SINGA award provides full support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, including:
- Full coverage of tuition fees
- Monthly stipend of S$2,700, increased to S$3,200 after passing the Qualifying Examination
- One-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500
- One-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000
Estimated Monthly Living Costs in Singapore:
- Food (university canteens or outside campus): S$250 β S$600
- On-campus accommodation (single room): S$400 β S$700
- Transport: S$100 β S$150
- Miscellaneous expenses: S$400 β S$500
- Total Estimated Cost of Living: S$1,400 β S$2,000/month

Required Documents for the Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2025/2026
All documents must be submitted online. Do not send hard copies. You will need:
- A valid passport
- Recent passport-sized photo (.jpeg or .png format)
- Academic transcripts (Bachelorβs and/or Masterβs, translated into English)
- Bachelorβs degree certificate(s) or university letter of certification
- Two online recommendation reports from academic referees
Optional (may be requested later):
- GRE scores
- IELTS / TOEFL / SAT / GATE scores
