Slovakia Scholarships for Talented Students 2025/2026 Details
This scholarship is part of Slovakia’s national effort to attract young global talent and develop key sectors of its economy. It is open to students who want to pursue full-time studies in specific academic fields at public higher education institutions in Slovakia. It covers:
- 3 years of support for Bachelor’s or joint Bachelor’s and Master’s programs
- 2 years of support for Master’s programs
Applicants must apply to selected Slovak public universities and choose study programs related to Slovakia’s national Smart Specialisation Strategy (SK RIS3 2021+). Check here
Scholarship Allocation:
- Bachelor’s Level:
- 100 scholarships (outside the Bratislava region, funded by ESIF)
- 50 scholarships (within the Bratislava region, funded by the state budget)
- Master’s Level:
- 30 scholarships (outside the Bratislava region, funded by ESIF)
- 15 scholarships (within the Bratislava region, funded by the state budget)

Slovakia Scholarships for Talented Students 2025/2026 Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must meet the following:
- Be a citizen of any country except Slovakia (Slovaks abroad with Slovak citizenship are also eligible with a certificate)
- No permanent or temporary residence in Slovakia since January 1, 2020 (with some exceptions)
- Must not have studied in Slovakia at secondary or higher education level (with exceptions for Erasmus+ or previous RRP scholarship holders)
- For Bachelor’s applicants: Completed or will complete secondary education in 2024/2025
- For Master’s applicants: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Must apply or be admitted into a public Slovak university
- Study must be in-person and full-time
- Submit a CV and Motivation Letter (both in English)
- Provide a valid SAT score of at least 1100
- No age limit, but applicants under 18 must submit guardian approval
