MINDS Scholarship Program 2025 Details

The MINDS (Mandela Institute for Development Studies) Scholarship Programme was launched in 2017 with a vision to develop young African leaders who will drive the continent’s growth and cooperation. The programme offers fully or partially funded scholarships for postgraduate study (Honours or Master’s) in another African country, allowing recipients to be immersed in a new culture while gaining high-quality education.

Unlike most scholarships, this programme emphasizes Pan-Africanism, encouraging Africans to learn, lead, and connect across borders. Scholars also take part in tailored leadership development activities designed to help them become agents of change on the continent.

The scholarship supports full-time studies in any field of choice, as long as the applicant has gained admission into one of the MINDS Preferred Institutions outside their home country.
