To apply, you must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country, or have refugee status in one, or be a British Protected Person
- Be permanently living in an eligible Commonwealth country
- Hold at least a second-class upper (2:1) undergraduate degree. In some cases, lower grades with strong relevant experience may be accepted

Selection Process
The selection process for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships is done in three main steps:
Step 1: After the 20th May 2025 deadline, the CSC reviews all applications and sends eligible ones to the University of Edinburgh.
Step 2: The university reviews the list and nominates strong candidates to the CSC.
Step 3: The CSC makes the final decision and announces successful scholars in July 2025.
Only selected candidates will be notified. Unsuccessful applicants will not receive a response.
