- Be a resident and citizen of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, or Zimbabwe
- Not having studied outside of Africa before (training under 6 months is allowed)
- Have at least 2 years of work experience related to your chosen field (excluding unpaid internships)
- Hold a bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record (typically top 10% of your class)
- Be committed to returning home after your studies to make an impact
- Be able to explain clearly how the scholarship and studying at Manchester will benefit your community
