The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust is committed to supporting international students who wish to contribute to global development. For the 2025 intake, the University of Sheffield will award three (3) full scholarships to students pursuing eligible postgraduate programs in development-related fields, and each of these scholarships offers a full tuition fee waiver and a £12,500 maintenance stipend
Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust Masters Scholarships 2025 Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the University of Sheffield Allan and Nesta Ferguson Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Hold an offer for one of the eligible Master’s programs at the University of Sheffield for the 2025/2026 academic year.
- Be classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.
- Not already hold a qualification that is equivalent to or higher than the Master’s course applied for.
- Not have previously studied outside their country of residence.
- Be self-funded, meaning they are not receiving financial support from a research council, government, private enterprise, charity, or any similar organization.
- Not receiving any other funding awards from the University of Sheffield or external sources.

- Begin studies in 2025 (the scholarship cannot be deferred to a later year).
