2026 University College London (UCL) GREAT Scholarship UK Details
The 2026 UCL-GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by UCL and the British Council to provide financial support to citizens of Nigeria and Pakistan.
There are 2 scholarships available in 2026/2027. 1 for Nigeria and 1 for Pakistan.
The scholarship will be applied to the recipient’s tuition fees. Award recipients are obliged to inform the UCL Student Funding Office immediately of any other funding they are awarded towards their UCL Master’s degree studies, before or after the UCL-Great scholarship. The GREAT Scholarship must be used to pay your tuition fees.

2026 University College London (UCL) GREAT Scholarship UK Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Scholarship, candidates must fulfil all of the following criteria:
- Candidates MUST be passport holders and residents of Nigeria and Pakistan.
- Must have applied to study any full-time Master’s degree in any faculty at UCL in 2026/2027 in order to apply for the scholarship.
- Please note you must hold an offer of a place on your chosen Master’s at UCL by the scholarship closing date of Thursday, 7th May 2026.
- Distance learning and mod flex courses are not eligible.

The value of the bursary is £10,000.

How to apply for the 2026 University College London (UCL) GREAT Scholarship UK
The International Master’s Awards enable international postgraduate-taught students from a diverse range of backgrounds to take up their offer of study at UCL. Listed below are the steps to apply for the 2026/2027 academic year scholarship.
You need to have submitted an admission application to UCL (including the submission of references) in order to apply for the scholarship.

Instructions for accessing the online scholarship application form:
- Log in to Portico with your normal details.
- Click on the ‘View’ button for the ‘Active Application’ that you wish to apply for funding for.
- In the application screen, click on ‘Funding’ in the menu at the top of the page.
- You are now on the funding page. To find out which funds you are eligible to apply for, click ‘Check and apply‘ under ‘Funds Available. ’
- Click on the scholarship name of the scheme that you wish to apply for.
NB. For each Master’s programme that you wish to apply for funding for, you will need to submit a separate scholarship application form.
