France Éducation International Assistant Program Details
The France Éducation international Language Assistant Program offers you the opportunity to teach English in France for 7 months, to students/pupils of all ages, with a monthly allowance of up to €1036. This program is coordinated by France Éducation International and aims to strengthen language learning in schools by placing native speakers (or near-native) in classrooms alongside teachers.
As an assistant, you help with oral practice, contribute to cultural exchange, and support teachers in delivering more dynamic, real-world language lessons.
There are two main routes:
- Assistants in France: Young people from partner countries come to France to assist in French schools.
- French Assistants Abroad: French native speakers go to partner countries to assist in foreign schools.

Eligibility Requirements for the France Éducation International Assistant Program
To be considered for the FEI Language Assistant program, applicants are to:
- Be native speakers of the language they wish to teach in France (German, English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, sign language, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Czech, or Turkish).
- Have completed the majority of their secondary schooling as well as their higher education in the country where they’re applying.
- Be between 20 and 35 years old as of 31/12/2025.
- Be regularly registered at a university at the time of application
- Hold a diploma equivalent to the 2nd year of the licence (L2) at the time of application.
- Have a good knowledge of French (at least B1 on the CEFR scale).
- Be prepared to commit to the full duration.
