AG Leventis Scholarship 2025 For Nigerians Details
The AG Leventis (Egba) Scholarship Scheme was set up to support the youth of Egbaland in getting access to higher education. It began as a promise made by Late Chief A.G. Leventis when he became the first Babalaje of Egbaland in 1970, promising to help industrialize Abeokuta.
Though he passed away shortly after, the dream was revived in 1972 by Oba Oyebade Lipede, who contacted the Leventis family and confirmed the commitment. This led to the launch of the scholarship in 1995 by the Alake of Egbaland at the Alake Palace Hall in Abeokuta.
The program is managed by a board and selection committee that carefully reviews and awards scholarships each year. Since its beginning, the scheme has provided critical financial support to students in different fields of study.

To apply, you must:
- Be from Egbaland, Ogun State, Nigeria
- Be a current student of a recognized university in Nigeria
- Must not be a 100-level Student, but must be a direct entry student
