AIT Scholarships 2026 in Thailand Details
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) was founded in 1959. It is a not-for-profit international postgraduate institution located north of Bangkok, Thailand. AIT offers English-speaking postgraduate programs and has a strong global reputation. The institute focuses on research, innovation, industry relevance, and entrepreneurship.
The AIT Scholarships are available to students applying for postgraduate programs in:
- Faculty of Infrastructure
- Faculty of Technology
- Faculty of Resource
- Faculty of Climate Change
- Faculty of Public Policy
- School of Management (SOM)
The scholarships are no-bond awards. This means recipients are not required to work for AIT after graduation. The scholarship may cover full or part of tuition fees. Students must pay the remaining tuition (if any), registration fees of 20,000 Baht per semester, and living expenses estimated at 11,500–15,000 Baht per month.
Each school has a Selection Committee. The committee decides the scholarship amount for each eligible applicant. The scholarship is granted once before enrollment and cannot be changed during the study period.

Eligibility Requirements for the AIT Scholarships 2026 in Thailand
Applicants must:
- Be of any nationality
- Apply for a Master’s or Doctoral program at AIT
- Meet AIT’s English proficiency requirement
- IELTS Academic or AIT EET score of 5.0 or above for Master’s
- IELTS Academic or AIT EET score of 5.5 or above for Doctoral
- Hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- For PhD applicants, hold a Master’s degree from a recognized university
- For PhD applicants, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 in their Master’s degree
- For PhD applicants, have a GPA of 2.75 in their undergraduate program from top universities
