Deakin University RTP and DUPR Scholarship 2026 Details
The Research Training Program (RTP) and Deakin University Postgraduate Research (DUPR) Scholarship are awarded to high-achieving research students.
The RTP scholarship is funded by the Australian Government. The DUPR scholarship is funded by Deakin University. Both scholarships are available to domestic and international students. Only top-ranked applicants are offered the RTP. The scholarships support students enrolled in graduate research programs at Deakin University. They are available for doctoral and research master’s degrees.
Doctoral students receive funding for up to three years for stipend and four years for tuition offset. Research master’s students receive funding for up to two years. Selected students are enrolled as full-time, on-campus research students.

Eligibility Requirements for the Deakin University RTP and DUPR Scholarship 2026
- Must be a domestic or international student
- Must be enrolled in a graduate research course at Deakin University
- Must not receive another equivalent fee-offset scholarship
- Must not receive income above 75% of the stipend for living costs
- Must have completed at least four years of tertiary education
- Must have achieved at least 80% in the research component of previous study
- Must meet Deakin’s HDR entry requirements
- Must hold a Level 8 or 9 qualification under the AQF with minimum 70% grade
- Must have a degree with at least 25% research component
- Must have completed a dissertation or equivalent research output
- Must not have exceeded maximum study duration
