Edge Hill University GREAT Scholarships 2025 Details

The GREAT scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects at the 72 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This scholarship provides a full tuition fee waiver of up to £17,000, and successful candidates will receive an updated offer letter reflecting this award. Please note that this scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships, so recipients will not be eligible for additional scholarship funding.

Edge Hill University GREAT Scholarships 2025 Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Edge Hill University GREAT Scholarship 2025, applicants must:

Be a citizen of a GREAT target country and a passport holder of Ghana, India, Kenya, Turkey or Vietnam
Be a self-funded student
Have made an application to study a full-time postgraduate degree at Edge Hill University for the September 2025 intake.
Hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate degree at Edge Hill University for the September 2025 intake by the closing date of 31st May 2025.
Not be a recipient of any other scholarship, including external scholarships such as Chevening, etc.
Have an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university
Be active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject area
Meet the English language requirement of the UK HEI
Be motivated and academically able to follow and benefit from a UK postgraduate taught course

NOTE: Applications received after the deadline date and applications with no study offer by this deadline WILL NOT be considered for this scholarship. We strongly advise submitting an application to Edge Hill University no later than April 2025 so there is no delay with your student journey should you be successful in your scholarship application.

To apply for this scholarship, follow these steps:

Apply for a postgraduate master’s degree programme offered at Edge Hill University.
Once you have received your offer to study on a full-time, postgraduate programme at Edge Hill University, you can apply for the British Council GREAT Scholarship by completing the application form.
Applications will then be considered by an awarding panel. All panel members understand that applications will have a broad range of differing skills, attributes, and experiences, and shortlisted applications may be asked to attend a video interview with the selection committee.
