To qualify for the Tarbell Fellowship, applicants should meet the following:

How to Apply for the Tarbell AI Journalism Fellowship 2026 (Step-by-Step)

The application is done in stages. Here is how it works:

Step 1: Application and Writing Samples (60 minutes or less)

Step 2: Work Test (2 to 4 hours)
