UNIV’R Programme 2026 in France Details
The UNIV’R programme allows selected refugees to pursue higher education in France.
The programme is open to applicants who hold at least a Bac +3 level diploma (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent). The selected students will study in one of 14 higher education institutions in France.
Courses are taught in English or French. Students must have the required language level depending on the language of instruction.
Students will arrive in France on a long-stay visa equivalent to a residence permit (VLS-TS). This visa is individual and does not allow family reunification.
At the end of the programme, graduates may apply for a one-year residence permit to search for a job. However, there is no guarantee of permanent residence.

Eligibility Requirements for the UNIV’R Programme 2026 in France
- Must be legally recognized as a refugee by the first host country or by UNHCR
- Must reside in a first country of asylum outside the European Union
- Must be no more than 30 years old at the time of application
- Must hold a degree at least equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Must have B2 level in French, or B2 level in English for programmes taught in English
