Ekiti State Government Scholarship 2025/2026 Details
The Ekiti State Government Scholarship Scheme is part of the government’s commitment to promote academic excellence and reduce the financial burden on students.
The award is open to qualified Ekiti State indigenes who are in their second year and above in recognized Nigerian tertiary institutions.
The scheme covers:
- Bursary Award
- Undergraduate Scholarship Award
- Physically Challenged Award
- Master’s Degree Scholarship Award
- PhD Scholarship Award
- Law School Bursary Award
The award is valid for one academic session only. For postgraduate applicants, it is awarded once. Beneficiaries must maintain high academic standards, remain in the same institution and course, and demonstrate good conduct throughout the award period. Students on part-time or sandwich programmes are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements for the Ekiti State Government Scholarship 2025/2026
- Be an indigene of Ekiti State
- Be in second year or above (for undergraduate applicants)
- Be enrolled in a recognized Nigerian tertiary institution
- Possess WASSCE/NECO with at least five credits including English and Mathematics in one sitting
- Have a CGPA of 4.0 and above or Second Class Upper (University students)
- Have a CGPA of 3.50 and above (Polytechnic and College of Education students)
- For Master’s applicants: Have at least Second Class Upper at undergraduate level
- For PhD applicants: Have at least a Distinction in Master’s degree
- Provide a letter of recommendation from Head of Department (for postgraduate applicants)
- Be a full-time student
- Not be receiving another State Government scholarship
Physically challenged students in tertiary institutions are also eligible under the special award category.
