Taiwan International Internship Program 2026 Details
The Taiwan International Internship Program is an intensive research training program for overseas students. It focuses on providing scientific education and practical research experience.
The internship lasts for two months and is offered in three different cohorts each year. Participants are placed at Academia Sinica or one of its partner universities.
Interns receive hands-on training, exposure to scientific research, and the opportunity to learn the Chinese language during their stay in Taiwan.
Internship cohorts are scheduled as follows:
- 1st cohort: 1 May – 30 June
- 2nd cohort: 1 June – 31 July
- 3rd cohort: 1 July – 31 August

Eligibility Requirements for the Taiwan International Internship Program 2026
- Undergraduate students in their final year
- Master’s students
- Individuals holding a Bachelor’s degree
- Individuals holding a Master’s degree
The following are not eligible:
- Ph.D. students
- Applicants who have previously attended the Taiwan International Internship Program
- Current employees or research assistants at Academia Sinica
