Who Is Your Mentor – Lucy Ikpesu-Ewhubare?

I’m an Engineer with over 3 years of experience working in the UK energy industry, contributing to the planning and development of critical energy infrastructure that supports the UK’s energy systems and transition to a more sustainable energy future.

After completing my Master’s degree, I secured my first professional job in the UK directly in the energy sector – no years of detours, no generic grad schemes. I’ve since moved between two major UK energy companies, giving me a real inside view of what it takes to get in and how to grow once you’re there.

We also define how to demonstrate your value – even without direct sector experience.
• Call 3 – Job Search Strategy: This call is all about where and how to find the right roles. We’ll cover the platforms, company directories, and insider channels where energy jobs are actually listed. You’ll learn how to search smarter, filter effectively, and shortlist the jobs you have a real shot at, so you’re not wasting time on roles that don’t fit.
• Call 4 – Interviews + Execution: Mock interview tailored to energy sector roles + frameworks you can use across different interview styles. We finalise your application and outreach strategy so everything is ready to go.
• Between calls: WhatsApp support for accountability, quick questions, and guidance as things come up.
