I came across scholarwaka platform via a WhatsApp group. I found out that the platform scheduled a free meeting session, inviting scholarship winners to share their experiences and useful tips for aspiring scholarship applicants on how to navigate and win top scholarships. Out of curiosity, as someone who has faced rejections, I joined the session via the created zoom link.

I learnt how to make my applications more presentable by focusing on leveraging my strengths. To put the icing on the cake, I was among the few who got a free six weeks one-on-one mentorship with one of the scholarship winners who attended the session. All thanks to the scholarwaka platform.

I am immensely grateful to the scholarwaka team, for creating an avenue for a prospective scholar like me, to learn and apply basic techniques on how to make a competitive application. Also, I extend my gratitude to Mrs. Faith Chiazor, who took her time in thoroughly reviewing my CV and SOPs. It was through her direct mentorship that I saw the reasons on why I was not offered a scholarship in my first trial😄

I had a really positive experience during my six-week mentorship with Lucy. From the beginning, she took the time to understand my career goals and the areas where I needed support. She helped me improve my CV and cover letter, prepare for job applications and interviews, and become more confident in presenting my skills and experience.

One of the highlights for me was securing an interview during the programme. Lucy supported me throughout the preparation process, including reviewing my presentation and giving me honest, constructive feedback on areas I could improve.

What I appreciated most about Lucy was that her advice was practical and tailored to me rather than generic. She was approachable, encouraging and honest, and I always felt comfortable asking questions or discussing areas where I was unsure.

I am leaving the programme with a stronger CV, better interview preparation skills and more confidence in my job search. I would happily recommend Lucy’s mentorship to anyone who needs practical and supportive guidance with their career.

The session was amazing and insightful, all my study abroad plights were answered and the session potentially boosted my confidence that this dream can be achieved.

All these while I’ve been trying to get scholarships and nothing was happening I kept on facing rejections but after the one on one session and through the constant step by step guidance of Mrs. Lucy I was able to get admitted to two schools in the US with scholarships and even though the Trump administration policy might be a setback now I believe I have seen the light and getting those scholarships has further given me hope that I can get others. I’ll be trying UK and other countries by God’s grace.

Scholarwaka is the new Goldmine for scholarships
