How to Apply for the Mastercard Scholarship at Carnegie Mellon University-Africa 2026 (Step-by-Step)

Step 1: Apply Online

You will fill out the online application form for admission into one of the CMU-Africa Master’s programs. You will upload all required documents.

Step 2: Complete Competency Tests

You must take two types of tests:

  1. English Language Test (TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test) if you are not exempt.
  2. Technical Test to assess analytical and programming skills.

These tests are taken online under monitoring.

Early Admission Tip

If you apply by December 15, CMU-Africa will cover your competency test fees. After this date, you must pay for the tests yourself.

Once admitted into the Master’s program, eligible students will be considered for the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
