- No Dual Developed Citizenship: You must not hold dual citizenship with any developed/high-income country.
2. Academic Background
- Bachelor’s Degree Completion: You must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent university degree) obtained at least 3 years prior to the scholarship application deadline.
- Academic Record: Demonstrated strong academic performance suitable for admission into competitive master’s programs.
3. Work Experience Requirements
- Paid Development Work: You must have accumulated at least 3 years (36 months) of full-time, paid development-related work experience acquired after earning your bachelor’s degree and within the last 6 years prior to the application deadline.
- Current Employment Status: You must be currently employed in a paid, full-time development-related job at the time of submitting your scholarship application (Note: Exceptions apply for candidates from fragile/conflict-affected states as designated by the World Bank).
- Non-Eligible Work: Unpaid internships, volunteer work, or non-development work experience do not count toward the 3-year minimum requirement.
4. Admission to Participating Master’s Program
- Unconditional Offer Letter: You must hold an unconditional admission offer (except for funding) from an official JJ/WBGSP participating master’s degree program for the 2026 academic year.
