2026 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program Details

KAIST was established in 1971 as Korea’s first research-oriented graduate school, with a mission to train outstanding science and technology talent and support national development through research and innovation.

The KAI-X Research Internship Program allows selected students to join research groups at KAIST during Summer 2026. Interns work under faculty supervision and gain exposure to advanced research environments.

The internship runs for 7 weeks, from 1 July to 14 August 2026, and focuses on natural science research fields.

Eligibility Requirements for the 2026 Summer KAI-X Research Internship Program

  • Must be an overseas undergraduate student in the 3rd or 4th year, or
  • Must be a Master’s student
  • Doctoral students are not eligible
  • Must study in a natural science-related field
  • Must be able to prepare and submit documents in English
