The Cardiff University Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarships are merit-based awards for international students applying to undergraduate degree programmes.
For the 2026 entry year, Cardiff University is offering nine scholarships. Each award is worth £10,000 and is applied as a tuition fee discount.
The scholarship is for full-time students who will study on campus at Cardiff University. It is only valid for students starting their studies in autumn 2026 and cannot be deferred or used for another year of entry.
The award is not paid in cash. It is deducted directly from tuition fees and cannot be used to replace any required tuition deposit.

Eligibility Requirements for the Cardiff University Undergraduate International Excellence Scholarships 2026
- Must be classed as an international student for fee-paying purposes
- Must be self-funded
- Must not be receiving non-repayable funding from other sources
- Must hold an offer for an eligible undergraduate degree at Cardiff University starting in autumn 2026
- Must submit the scholarship application by 23:59 on 3 April 2026 (UK time)
- Must meet the original published admissions criteria for the chosen programme
- Must be studying full-time and based on the Cardiff campus
The scholarship is not available for undergraduate programmes in Dentistry, Medicine, and Healthcare, including but not limited to Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Radiography, Midwifery, and related courses.
