2026–2027 UM Global Studies Scholarship Details
The Global Studies Bachelor’s Program at Maastricht University is a unique course that brings together six different faculties, each offering its academic expertise. Students learn to analyse and create solutions to complex global issues that cross borders and disciplines.

2026–2027 UM Global Studies Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the UM Global Studies Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold nationality from a country eligible for Official Development Assistance (ODA) by the OECD.
- Meet visa and residence permit requirements for studying in the Netherlands. Check the official website.
- Not hold dual citizenship with an EU/EEA country or any country not on the ODA list.
- Have applied for admission to the Global Studies bachelor’s program at UM for the 2026–2027 academic year.
- Meet the academic admission requirements for the Global Studies program.
- Not hold a bachelor’s or equivalent degree.
- Be 35 years old or younger by September 1, 2026.
- Agree to serve as a Global Studies and UM ambassador during and after studies.

- Covers living expenses of €15,925 per year (about €1,225 monthly).
- Pays full tuition fees directly to Maastricht University.

Applicants must prepare and upload the following documents in PDF, DOC, or DOCX format:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV):
- Maximum of two pages
- Include education, achievements, extracurriculars, and any awards
- Motivation Letter:
- Use the UM-provided template
- Focus on your motivation for the scholarship and program
- Proof of Academic Excellence:
- High school or prior education transcript showing at least 75% of the maximum grade
