Eligibility Requirements of the Maastricht University Scholarship 2026

Applicants must:

1. Hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland, or Suriname.
2. Meet visa and residence permit requirements for the Netherlands.
3. Apply for a participating full-time master’s programme at UM for the 2026–2027 academic year before 8 December 2025.
4. Meet the admission requirements of the chosen programme.
5. Have a GPA of at least 7.5/10 (or equivalent).
6. Be 35 years or younger on 1 September 2026.
7. Have never completed a degree programme in the Netherlands.
8. Agree to act as a UM ambassador during and after their studies.
9. Submit only one application for the scholarship.
