Mississippi State University Scholarship 2027 | Fully Funded
Mississippi State University’s Department of Forestry is seeking a Master’s student to explore a question many forestry graduates ask: Are universities preparing them for the jobs that actually exist? The student will be advised by Dr. Arun Regmi in the social dimensions research programme, and the project will ask recent graduates and employers in public, private and non-profit natural resource organisations what skills entry-level foresters really need, then compare their answers with what students are taught.

- Developing surveys and research protocols
- Collecting data and engaging with stakeholders
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis
- Scientific writing and sharing the findings
The position also offers professional development, conference presentations, interdisciplinary publications and applied research training. The student will work with the state and federal natural resource agencies that partner with Mississippi State as a land-grant institution.
