Eligibility Requirements for the Hopkins Engineering Summer Research Scholars 2026 (PROPEL Program)

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college/university or its territories recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate study with at least one semester remaining by summer 2026.
  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a PhD in engineering.
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident; international students with an F-1 visa studying in the U.S. are also eligible.
