University of Leeds Beit Munro Scholarship 2026/2027 Details
The Beit Munro – University of Leeds Scholarships are funded through a partnership between the Beit Trust and the University of Leeds.
The scholarship supports applicants to undertake a one-year full-time taught Master’s programme at the University of Leeds during the 2026–2027 academic session.
Up to three scholarships are available for this session.
The programme is designed to support studies that will provide long-term benefits to the applicant’s home country. All eligible taught Master’s programmes are supported except the Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Applicants must apply for a Master’s course at the University of Leeds before submitting their Beit Trust scholarship application.
Final scholarship awards are agreed by the University of Leeds based on recommendations from the Beit Trust.

Eligibility Requirements for the University of Leeds Beit Munro Scholarship 2026/2027
- Must be a national of Malawi, Zambia, or Zimbabwe
- Must be a permanent resident of one of these countries
- Must live in and/or intend to return to their home country after studies
- Must have applied for a full-time taught Master’s programme at the University of Leeds
- Must hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree or equivalent
- Applicants with First Class or Distinction are strongly preferred
- Relevant work experience after completing a first degree is strongly recommended
- Applicants who have already begun their course are not eligible
- Applicants who already hold a postgraduate degree are generally not considered, except in exceptional cases
- MBA programmes are not supported
