KNB Scholarship 2026 in Indonesia Details
The Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship is a financial aid program offered by the Government of Indonesia. It supports international students from developing countries who want to study in Indonesia.
The program was first introduced in 1992 after the 10th Conference of Heads of State of the Non-Aligned Movement. It was first limited to NAM countries. In 2002, the program was expanded to other developing regions.
Today, the scholarship is open to students from Asia, the Pacific, Africa, South America, and Eastern Europe.
The scholarship supports study at selected Indonesian universities. There are 47 partner universities under this program.
It covers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. It focuses mainly on improving international cooperation and developing future leaders.
Students study in Indonesia while experiencing its culture and academic environment.

Eligibility Requirements for the KNB Scholarship 2026 in Indonesia
For Bachelor’s Degree
- Must be a maximum of 21 years old by December 31, 2026
- Must hold a High School certificate
- Bachelor’s degree holders are not eligible
- Must provide a CV in English or Bahasa
- Must meet English test score requirements
- Must provide Embassy recommendation letter
- Must provide employer or supervisor recommendation letter
- Must provide academic recommendation letter
- Must submit legalized academic certificates and transcripts
- Must have a valid passport until December 31, 2027
- Must submit a 5-minute video on YouTube
- Must submit a certified medical report
- Must not be married to an Indonesian citizen
- Must not be pregnant during the scholarship period
- Must not be undergoing military service
- Must complete the online application form
For Master’s Degree
- Must be a maximum of 35 years old by December 31, 2026
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree
- Master’s degree holders are not eligible
- Must provide a CV in English or Bahasa
- Must meet English test score requirements
- Must provide Embassy recommendation letter
- Must provide employer or supervisor recommendation letter
- Must provide academic recommendation letter
- Must submit legalized Bachelor’s certificates and transcripts
- Must have a valid passport until December 31, 2027
