The successful candidate will develop a thesis examining the geometric morphometrics and skeletochronology of hatchling and adult Diamondback Terrapin, contributing to a growing body of research on the species’ biology and conservation. The position is funded through a teaching assistantship during the semester and from grant monies over winter and summer months. Consequently, the student will have financial support year-round for the duration of their MS programme.

Eligibility Requirements for the Nicholls State University Scholarship 2026
- Must hold a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology or a related field
- Must have at least one year of relevant experience in conservation, ecology, herpetology, outreach, or environmental education
