The SWU President Scholarship is offered to international students to study at Southwest University across different academic levels. Southwest University has been an ideal destination for studying in China, with around 2000 students from all over the world every year.

The scholarship is divided into two categories:
Type A Scholarship
- Covers tuition fees
- Provides monthly stipend:
- Undergraduate: CNY 1100/month
- Master’s: CNY 1400/month
- PhD: CNY 1700/month
Type B Scholarship
- Covers tuition fees only
Additional coverage:
- Medical insurance (CNY 800/year) is covered
- Accommodation fees are not covered
The duration of the scholarship depends on the programme:
- Undergraduate: 4 years
- Master’s: 2–3 years
- PhD: 4 years

Eligibility Requirements for SWU President Scholarship 2027 in China
To apply for the SWU President Scholarship 2027, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a non-Chinese citizen
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Must hold at least a high school certificate
Age requirements:
- Undergraduate: Under 30 years
- Master’s: Under 35 years
- PhD: Under 45 years
Academic requirements:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
- Or a minimum score of 80 out of 100
Language requirements:
For Chinese-taught programmes:
- Undergraduate: HSK 4 (200 and above)
- Master’s: HSK 5 (190 and above)
- PhD: HSK 5 (200 and above)
For English-taught programmes:
- Undergraduate/Master’s: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80
- PhD: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 85
Additional requirements:
- Must not be receiving another scholarship in China
- Must meet SWU admission requirements

Applicants who do not meet Chinese language requirements may take Chinese language courses at their own cost before starting their programme.
