Five fully funded Sanctuary Scholarships are available for students beginning their studies at the University of Sheffield in September 2026. Applications are assessed competitively by a panel of senior University staff. Where applications are of similar standing, priority is given to students located within the Sheffield city region and the surrounding area. Scholarships are awarded on a ratio of 2:3 in favour of either undergraduate or postgraduate students, depending on the strength of applications received. will be responsible for paying the full tuition fees for the remaining years of their degree programme.

Eligibility Requirements for the University of Sheffield Sanctuary Scholarships 2026/2027 in UK

• Must have been granted humanitarian protection or limited leave to remain in the UK, or be a dependant or partner of someone with humanitarian protection or limited leave to remain, or be an asylum seeker (or have a parent/guardian or partner who is) with a pending claim for refugee status that has not yet received a Home Office decision
