How Winners Are Chosen
After 1 January, the TU/e International Office checks every application for eligibility. Eligible applications go to the Scholarship Selection Committee, made up of the Rector Magnificus, the Dean of Education, the Director Finance & Control, and the Director Education & Student Affairs. The committee assesses and ranks all of them.
The International Office confirms the selections by the end of March 2027. If you are selected, you will be asked to sign a scholarship agreement.
Some conditions are final. You cannot appeal the result; you cannot defer the scholarship; you cannot transfer it to a programme outside the four departments, and the amount cannot be negotiated.

Changemaker Scholarship
Four extra Changemaker Scholarships are offered through the TSH Talent Foundation (The Social Hub). They are for motivated students who have shown commitment to positive change in their community and who may face barriers in reaching higher education. They come on top of an academic scholarship and include housing for 10 months, mentoring, personal and professional development, and access to an international changemaker community.
To be considered, you follow the same steps as above, and your motivation must also show your commitment to creating positive impact and any relevant experience. The TSH Talent Foundation confirms selections by the end of March 2027 and handles all later communication directly. For questions, contact [email protected].
Application Deadline
The deadline is 1 January 2027, 23:59 CET. Your Master’s application must be complete by then, since the scholarship request is part of it. Nigeria is one hour ahead of CET in winter time, so 23:59 CET falls at 23:59 Nigerian time. Check the exact time zone difference on the date you submit.
Do not leave the application to the last week. You also need to meet the visa and residence permit requirements for the Netherlands, so begin your documents early.
