KPMG University Scholarship Program (KUSP) 2025 For Nigerians | How to Apply
The 2025 KPMG University Scholarship Program (KUSP) application cycle closed on 3 July 2025, which means this post now serves one purpose: getting you fully prepared before the next cycle opens.
Funded entirely by KPMG Nigeria, this merit-based award selects high-performing Nigerian undergraduates in federal universities across every course of study — meaning a student in Agriculture competes on the same criteria as a student in Engineering. Where most Nigerian corporate scholarships are locked to specific disciplines or geographies, KUSP opens to any field, which makes the eligibility bar the only real filter.
What it covers is specific and worth knowing now: tuition fees, school hostel accommodation, and academic materials only. There is no personal living allowance attached, so your feeding, transport, and other day-to-day costs remain your responsibility regardless of whether you win.

Eligibility Requirements for the KPMG University Scholarship Program 2025
All of the following must apply to you at the time of application:
- You must be a Nigerian citizen
- You must have completed secondary education at a public secondary school — state, federal, or military. Private secondary school graduates are not eligible
- You must have at least 5 distinctions in WASSCE or NECO, including Mathematics and English, all obtained in a single sitting
- You must have scored a minimum of 230 in UTME (JAMB)
- You must already hold an admission letter or provisional admission letter to a federal university in Nigeria
- You must be a current full-time undergraduate student at a federal university — part-time and distance-learning students do not qualify
- You must be in 100 Level or 200 Level at the time of application
- You must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 grading scale, or 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale
There is no restriction on course of study. Students in any discipline at any federal university in Nigeria can apply, as long as every condition above is met.
What the KUSP 2025 Covers
KUSP is a full scholarship covering three specific costs:
- Tuition fees — paid directly for the duration of your undergraduate studies, subject to maintaining academic performance
- School hostel accommodation — on-campus accommodation costs covered
- Academic materials — books and study-related materials
The scholarship does not include a living stipend or personal allowance. Any personal, transport, or feeding expenses remain your responsibility. The scholarship continues beyond the initial award year, provided you maintain the required CGPA each session — it is not a one-year grant that needs to be reapplied for annually.
Beyond the financial cover, selected scholars gain national recognition from a top professional services firm, mentorship from KPMG professionals, and potential pathways to internship and career opportunities within KPMG Nigeria.
Required Documents for the KPMG University Scholarship Program 2025
KPMG uses a two-stage process. You submit your application first, and only shortlisted candidates are then asked to provide:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- O’Level Certificate (WASSCE or NECO)
- UTME/JAMB Score Slip
- University Admission Letter
- Academic Transcript from your current university
Prepare all of these in advance rather than waiting to be shortlisted. KPMG gives shortlisted candidates a limited window to upload documents, and not having them ready in time is one of the most common reasons eligible applicants lose their place in the selection process.
How to Apply for the KUSP 2025 – Step By Step
- Confirm you meet every eligibility condition above before starting. Incomplete or ineligible applications are not reviewed.
- Prepare your documents in advance — CV, O’Level results, JAMB slip, admission letter, and current transcript.
- Visit the official KPMG Nigeria scholarship portal when the next cycle opens and complete the online application form.
- Submit your application before the cycle deadline. Early submission is recommended — KPMG does not extend deadlines.
- If shortlisted, you’ll be contacted by email to submit your documents and proceed to the selection stage, which includes a test.

The 2025 cycle closed on 3 July 2025.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the KPMG University Scholarship fully funded?
It covers tuition fees, school hostel accommodation, and academic materials. It does not include a living stipend or personal allowance. Those costs remain the student’s responsibility.
Can students from private secondary schools apply for the KPMG scholarship?
No. The scholarship specifically requires that applicants completed their secondary education at a public secondary school — state, federal, or military. Private secondary school graduates do not qualify.
Is there a restriction on which course I’m studying?
No. KUSP is open to students in any course of study at any federal university in Nigeria, as long as you meet every other eligibility condition.
How long does the KPMG scholarship last?
The scholarship supports recipients through their undergraduate studies, not just for one year, subject to maintaining the required CGPA each academic session. If your grades fall below the minimum, the scholarship may not be renewed.
When will the 2026 KPMG University Scholarship open?
KPMG has not announced the 2026 cycle. Based on the 2025 cycle opening in June and closing on 3 July, the 2026 cycle is expected to open around the same period. Check KPMG Nigeria’s official website from May 2026 onward.
Will I get a job at KPMG if I win the scholarship?
Not automatically. KPMG Nigeria states that scholars may have access to future career opportunities with the firm, but this is not a guaranteed employment pathway — it depends on performance during and after the scholarship period.
