Prime Minister’s Scholarships 2025 Details
The Prime Minister’s Scholarships for Asia and Latin America offer financial support for New Zealanders undertaking study or internships abroad in Asia and Latin America. The scholarships aim to foster international collaboration, enhance understanding, and build long-lasting global connections. Since its inception in 2013, more than 3,810 scholarships have been awarded.

Eligibility Requirements for Prime Minister’s Scholarships 2025
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old at the time of application.
- Citizenship: Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Residency: Must have resided in New Zealand for at least 12 of the previous 24 months.
- Family Restrictions: Applicants must not be an immediate relative of any Education New Zealand staff member or selection panel member.
- Medical Fitness: Must be medically fit to travel. Successful applicants will need to undergo any routine medical checks performed at the border (e.g., COVID-19 tests).
