Canva Africa Design Challenge 2025 Details
The Canva Africa Design Challenge is an open call for young creators to design simple, practical, and useful templates for small businesses and creators across Africa. Think WhatsApp price lists, business cards, email signatures, reels layouts, product menus, rate cards, catalogues, and similar designs that people use for their work every day.
Your goal is to create a design that makes life easier for entrepreneurs. Canva wants designs that reflect African culture, local realities, and everyday business needs. You don’t need to be a professional designer. As long as you can create on Canva and tell the story behind your design, you’re welcome.
This challenge is run in partnership with organisations across Africa, including Harambee, NYDA, Digify Africa, ALX, Woman in Tech, Yoma, YearBeyond, Safe-Hub, and others.
You can submit as many entries as you want. Each entry must have one template and a short artist note explaining who the design helps and why it matters.
